Crystal Peak Golf Course
Crystal Peak Golf Course is a 9-hole private course designed by Love Golf Design. It is the first golf course located in the West Coast that the company designed. In line with the golf designer’s philosophy, designing modern courses in a traditional manner that will stand the test of time, Crystal Peak layout was made to complement the existing terrain to maintain its natural feature.
Matching its layout is the remarkable scenery which varies from hole to hole. The Truckee River where the course is situated creates a natural landscape with Peavine and Crystal Peak Ranges as the backdrop of the course.
The par 36 golf course measures 3,253 yards from the back tee with a slope rating of 131 and course rating of 71.2. The opening hole has bunkers needed to be avoided to finish successfully. Grass-face and flat sand bottoms are the prominent features of the bunkers found in the course. Hole #4 is the risk or reward hole which requires a shot that is 80 yards short of mid green. Hole #7 is the most difficult which is also the largest green in the course. Golfers who will play the back tees must be experts to win this hole. Also, the course has driving range for practice.
